The joint at the roof

What is not a roofing line
A cracked crown, spalled brick above the roof, or a bad flue is masonry. Pricing it as “flashing” leaves the water path inside the chase. Split the trades in the estimate.
Three towns, one inspection habit
Photograph the uphill face and the attic around the chase. Each city still permits its own work. Do not assume Montclair’s answer is Summit’s.
