Glen Rock replacements happen on tight streets with cared-for yards. The contract should say how the crew protects that landscape. The shingle brand is the easier part.

Write where the container sits and what boards go under it. A container on a paver drive or over a lawn sprinkler head is a second project. If the street cannot hold it, say how debris will be trailered out.

Tarps and plywood belong on beds that sit under the eave. Nails travel. A magnet sweep of the drive, the walk, and the public sidewalk should be in the closeout, not a favor at the end.

Protection does not replace tear-off layers, decking unit prices, or flashing. Ask for both. A careful crew with a vague roof specification is still a vague job.
