Replacement scope on large Livingston colonials

Livingston’s larger colonials need the same honesty as a Wyckoff scope: layers, decking rate, ice-and-water distance, and penetrations. They are not the same houses, so do not paste the price across.

Size and cut-up
A big rectangle is simpler than a slightly smaller roof with dormers and a complicated garage tie-in. Write plane count. Livingston roofs of the 1980s and 1990s are often the first or second asphalt layer. Verify, do not assume.
Penetrations and the side wall
Count boots, bath fans, and any skylight. Step flashing at a sidewall should be new if the courses come off. Reused aluminum that is already creased is a leak you are reinstalling.
What not to duplicate
The Wyckoff article lists tear-off, underlayment, and ventilation. Use it as a checklist. Add Livingston’s actual layer count and eave length. The township permit question goes to Livingston’s construction office.
